Meaning:
Lit. “a big coin” or “a big złoty” is a slang term for a taxi driver. Polish złoty (PLN) is the local currency and the 1 PLN coin (worth about 0.25 USD) is often used by those who still pay in cash.
This coin is most commonly called a “złotówka”, which is in theory a diminutive form. So the in theory standard form “złotówa” actually sounds augmentative for most Polish speakers.
Taxi drivers are often deemed very greedy and inclined to cheat their clients to earn more than due. Hence they are called “big coins” which might be considered derogatory.
