Meaning:
Lit. “the caravan goes on” is actually not an idiom. This proverb is known in multiple other languages, very popular in Polish and often used to directly retort and scold anyone criticizing you or your enterprise.
Polish politicians often say “karawana jedzie dalej” to point that whatever arguments their opponents bring up make little sense compared with the great cause they themselves serve. Or point that people voicing a different opinion have little to say.
But watch out – by using it you are basically saying the person you are arguing with is a barking dog. If this person is actually present, he/she will take the comment personally and dislike you.
Examples:
Na zaczepki hejterów (prawicowych blogerów, polityków) lider Orkiestry odpowiada: psy szczekają, karawana jedzie dalej (WOŚP wypuściła nawet koszulkę z tym hasłem).
Teraz podchodzę do tego inaczej, że to jednak tylko sport, nie ma sensu zrażać się chwilowym brakiem wyników, albo nie wiadomo jak się cieszyć ze zwycięstwa, bo tak naprawdę coś przychodzi, coś przemija, a karawana jedzie dalej, jak to mówią.
W mediach społecznościowych Anna Mucha zamieściła wymowne zdjęcie i komentarz. „Haters gonna love. Karawana jedzie dalej. Drugi odcinek „Dance Dance Dance” już jutro! Oglądajcie” – napisała na Instagramie.
