Lit. “(she) lies as a log”. This phrase is commonly used by males complaining about their partner’s alleged lack of initiative in bed. What this denotes is lying motionless, no kisses, no shouts, no wrestling, no clawing, just enjoying their dis/pleasure in private.
Lit. “as Reksio (would) ham” which usually is preceded by a verb signifying biting or eating. Together they form expression meaning you would definitely fancy eating something. Well, at least literally as the only context Poles use it in is being physically attracted to another person and willing to engage in sexual acts with her/him. This willingness is usually purely hypothetical as the phrase is mostly thrown by one chum to another when seeing a pretty girl on television. It probably is not that popular amongst women but can be used by either gender.
Lit. “don’t teach (your) father how to make babies”. You use this as a crude reply to someone’s suggestion or advice that does not make sense to you. By using this expression you point that you know what you’re doing and have much more experience in given field. This serves as a kind of rebuke and the recipient might feel hurt.
Lit. “went to fuck” as the verb “jebać” is a somewhat more vulgar-sounding choice to similar ”pieprzyć”, “ruchać” or even “pierdolić”. The expression is used to angrily point that some resources invested have been wasted without bringing any value and cannot be retrieved any more. This can be said if you simply spend some time on a task to no avail – or if your company has dedicated a big money and organizational effort to a project and reapt no harvest.
Occasionally this expression is used if something (like a car) simply breaks down or is destroyed, to stress that it is now lost and you won’t benefit from it any more.
